    • The invention relates to a closing mechanism of a lap (5', 5) of aluminum foil coating intended for covering and simultaneously closing a split (2', 2) in a mineral wool pipe section (1', 1) provided with an aluminum foil coating (4', 4). The aluminum foil coating has its mineral wool facing surface provided with a polyethylene layer (8', 8) by which the aluminum foil coating (4', 4) is attached to an outer layer of the mineral wool pipe section. The the polyethylene layer (8', 8) of the lap of aluminum foil coating is provided with a double-sided tape (7', 7) for attaching the lap (5', 5) of aluminum foil to the aluminum foil layer (4', 4) on the other side of the pipe section split. The double-sided tape (7) has on both sides the same adhesive composition, and that one side of the tape is attached to the polyethylene layer (8) present on the inside of the aluminum foil coating's (4) lap (5) while the polyethylene layer is in a molten state. The invention relates also to a manufacturing method for the above-described closing mechanism.

    • One object of the invention is a method for manufacturing an insulation product article of mineral wool. In the method two binders A and B are added to the mineral wool in connection with and/or after the formation of mineral wool fibers making up a raw mineral wool mat, whereof at least the binder B, in order to become cured, requires heating to the specific curing temperature t B thereof or higher, and that the binder A cures or is capable of being cured at a temperature t A , which is lower than the curing temperature t B (t A B ), the raw mineral wool mat, containing two binders A and B, is pre-cured by heating it to a temperature t 1 which is lower than the curing temperature t B of the binder B, such that t A ≤ t 1 B , whereby the binder A, which is capable of being cured at the lower curing temperature t A , is the only one to become cured, and the curing of a shaped insulation product article, still containing uncured binder B, into a finished insulation product article of mineral wool is performed by heating the same to the curing temperature t B of the binder B or higher, such that the binder B becomes cured. The invention relates also to an insulation product article of mineral wool, as well as to a raw mineral wool mat, which mainly consists of layered mineral wool fibers and lends itself to the manufacture of mineral wool products, especially shaped insulation product articles.
