    • An adjustable leg component (170) for a legged mobility device. The leg component (170) comprises, a central carrier (176) and first (172) and second (174) housings that are located on opposite sides of the central carrier (176) and mechanically connected to the central carrier. An adjustment mechanism is configured to effect movement of the first housing (172) either closer to or farther from the second housing (174) to adjust a length of the leg component. The adjustment mechanism includes a drive shaft (192) that extends through the central carrier (176) and a plurality of driven shafts (204a, 204b) that extend through the central carrier and are connected at a first end to the first housing (172) and connected at a second end opposite from the first end to the second housing (174). The drive shaft (192) rotates to drive the plurality of driven shafts (204a, 204b) to effect translational movement of the driven shafts (204a, 204b) to move the first housing (172) closer to or farther from the second housing (174) to adjust the length of the leg component. The one or more driven shafts (204a, 204b) extend through the central carrier (176) in a longitudinal direction along a longitudinal axis of the leg component, and the drive shaft (192) extends through the central carrier (176) in a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
