    • An electric power steering device, comprising a housing, a motor fitted to the housing and transmitting an auxiliary steering force to a rotating shaft through a motor shaft, a worm formed in or externally fitted to the rotating shaft and having a gear part formed of a metal or a resin, rolling bearings disposed in the housing at both side positions of the worm and rotatably supporting the rotating shaft, an output shaft transmitting a steering force for steering an axle and pivotally supported on the housing at a specified position, a worm wheel formed in or externally fitted to the output shaft so as to be meshed with the worm and having a gear part formed of a resin, and a pressurization mechanism for providing a pre-load in the direction of the worm wheel to the shaft end part of the rotating shaft apart from the motor, whereby the simple electric power steering device capable of eliminating the presence of backlash and capable of reducing tooth hitting noise without impairing a power transmission performance can be provided.
