摘要： A polymer electrolyte membrane for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, that overcomes disadvantages of the conventional polymer ion-exchange membranes including fluorine-based polymer electrolyte membranes and can maintain cell characteristics even in use over a long period of time (e.g., several thousand hours). The polymer electrolyte membrane comprises a fluorine polymer substrate having grafted thereon monomers having sulfone groups as a cation-exchange group, wherein a main chain of the graft chain comprises a hydrocarbon or a partially fluorinated hydrocarbon, and sulfone groups or substituents having sulfone groups are bonded as a side chain, and wherein in element compositional ratio by ESCA, at least one surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane has O/S value of 5.0 or higher, and a surface element proportion of S is 0.4-5.0%.

摘要： A method of renting fabric articles comprising sticking a bar code-printed sheet onto the fabric articles and repeatedly renting and washing the fabric articles under the management with the use of the bar codes, by which the bar codes can be read even after washing the fabric articles 100 times and thus the rental business can be smoothly performed. The method of renting fabric articles comprises sticking a data code-printed sheet onto the fabric articles and repeatedly renting and washing the fabric articles under the management with the use of the data codes, characterized in that the data code-printed sheets are those wherein the data code (2) is printed on an ink-receiver layer (1) which is a porous layer made of an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene having a viscosity-average molecular weight of from 500,000 to 10,000,000 and having an average surface roughness Ra of 5 µm or less and a degree of shrinkage under contact with air or in an aqueous alkali solution of pH 10 to 11 of 5 % or less.

摘要： An alkaline secondary battery comprising a negative electrode comprising cadmium, zinc or iron or an oxide or hydroxide thereof or a hydrogen absorbing alloy, a positive electrode comprising a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide, and a separator, which are all impregnated with an electrolyte comprising an alkaline aqueous solution is disclosed, wherein the separator is made of a polyolefin fiber sheet which has a wicking rate of pure water of at least 10 mm per 2 minutes when one end of the sheet is dipped in pure water at 20°C and 60% RH. Since the separator is chemically stable and exhibits sufficient hydrophilic properties, the battery retains a high electrode utilization even at a high rate discharging and has a practically sufficient cycle life.
