    • A linear motion rolling guide unit in which rolling elements (7L) of one side are in four-point contact with raceway surfaces of one of two raceways formed by raceway grooves (5) in a rail (2) and grooves (9) in a casing (3) and rolling elements (7R) of the other side are in two-point contact with raceway surfaces of the other raceways. Depending on the direction in which load is applied to the slider, the number of raceway surfaces the rolling elements contact is changed to allow machining errors of the raceway grooves and to give room of the machining accuracy so that even when the casing is applied with an uneven load the slider can slide smoothly on the track rail.

    • The object of the linear motion rolling guide unit equipped with a long slider (23) composed of the coupling of a plurality of casings (26) is to obtain an increase in the rated load while setting the total length of said slider (23) to a suitable length to match the machine tool and so forth in which it is to be incorporated, while also being able to maintain a smooth sliding state at all times even if the casings (26) shift out of position.
      The above advantages are obtained by juxtapositioning a spacer (27) between each casing (26), and making rolling element guide track grooves (27c) equipped in said spacer (27) larger than load bearing track grooves (22a) formed in each casing (26) to allow said rolling element guide track grooves (27c) to act as reliefs for rolling elements (24).
