    • A data broadcasting station (2) transmits a multiplexed signal in which multimedia data encoded in a prescribed coding system are at least multiplexed in a broadcasting form. A file manager (14) stores the multimedia data received by a tuner (11) and decoded by a decoder (12) in a storage device (15) while creating management information therefor and registering it in a table (13). A browser (16) requests of the file manager (14) multimedia data to be referred to, and lets it displayed on a monitor. The file manager (14) increments/decrements a retention coefficient on the basis of a frequency of reference to the multimedia, and determines whether or not to delete each multimedia data stored in the storage device (15). Thus provided is a terminal device which can effectively utilize the capacity of the storage device (15) without deleting multimedia data frequently referred to by the user.

The data decoder 102 decodes the data into MOT data according to a given protocol. A file manager 103 identifies files according to IDs generated by a file system 104, and produces a timer monitoring table from information such as a trigger time written in a MOT header. The file system 104 stores files in a storage unit 105 and produces a directory information table in which file display availability statuses and display order are recorded for files with the same name. A data browser 108 receives display instructions from a user and displays, in order, multimedia data that is recorded in the directory information table as being available for display.

    • A control system has a detecting block (12) for obtaining a detected signal corresponding to a controlled variable of a controlled system, and a controlling block (13) for supplying the controlled system with a control signal according to the detected signal. The controlling block includes an error signal producing block for producing an error signal from the detected signal at intervals of a detecting period of time, a memorizing block for storing a plurality of memorized values corresponding to the error signal, and a control signal producing block for producing the control signal by mixing the error signal with one or more of the memorized values. The memorizing block renews the memorized values sequentially and periodically at intervals of a renewing cycle period of time proportional to the detecting period, each with a mixed value computed from the error signal and one or more of the memorized values having been renewed at intervals of L renewing cycle periods, where L is an integer at least equal to 2. The controlling block also includes an operation selecting block for selecting a control operation, and a position detecting block for detecting a physical movement of the controlled system. The position detecting block obtains a stored position of the memorized value corresponding to a physical position of the controlled system so as to utilize the memorized values promptly and correctly when the operation selecting block selects the control operation using the memorizing block.
