    • The invention discloses a tapered roller bearing, comprising: an outer ring (20); an inner ring (10) having a great diameter side and a small diameter side; a plurality of tapered rollers (30) interposed between the outer ring (20) and the inner ring (10); anda retainer (40) for retaining the tapered rollers (30), the retainer (40) having a great diameter side and a small diameter side. The bearing is characterized in that the small diameter side of the inner ring (10)further includes: a small rib (13) projecting radially outwardly and adapted to restrict an axial movement of the tapered rollers (30); and a cylindrical portion (14) extending axially from the small rib (13) to an axial end of the inner ring (10) and having a diameter smaller than that of the small rib (13). The small diameter side of the retainer (40) extends radially inwardly to an axial end of the inner ring (10) to thereby form an annular portion (41). The inner diameter of the annular portion (41) is smaller than the outer diameter of the small rib (13). The inside circumferential end portion of the annular portion (41) is in adjoining relation with the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion (14) and with a side surface of the small rib (13) to thereby form a labyrinth seal (S).

    • When a fluid pressure in a fluid supply passage is higher than a first set pressure, a fluid in the fluid supply passage is supplied to a pressure chamber via a check valve, and when the pressure becomes lower than the first set pressure, the fluid is supplied from a hydraulic pump to the pressure chamber via the check valve. When the pressure becomes higher than a second set pressure, the fluid is discharged from the pressure chamber via a relief valve, and also when the pressure within the pressure chamber becomes higher than a third set pressure which is higher than the first set pressure but is lower than the second set pressure, the supply of the fluid is stopped. With this system, the pressure within the pressure chamber is maintained at a level between the first and second set pressures.
