摘要： A method and apparatus for establishing peer-to-peer communication and performing forwarding under the control of a cellular network are described. A seeking wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a timing signal from at least one discoverable WTRU controlled by a base station. The seeking WTRU may estimate the quality of a radio link (i.e. path loss) between the seeking WTRU and the discoverable WTRU, and determine, (e.g. based on a threshold established by the base station), whether or not to report the estimated radio link quality to a base station that controls the discoverable WTRU. The power of the timing signal may be ramped up in predetermined steps such that the transmission power at any given time is known and may be used by the seeking WTRU for estimating the radio link quality. The timing signal may include at least one of a primary preamble or a secondary preamble.

摘要： A method and apparatus for neighbor discovery in a wireless communication system are disclosed. A neighbor seeking wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may send a first beacon based on configuration information provided by the network. The neighbor WTRUs receive the first beacon and may send either a report to the network or send a second beacon to the neighbor seeking WTRU. The network may then provide neighbor WTRU information to the neighbor seeking WTRU. The neighbor discovery may be performed within a pre-defined group of WTRUs that is formed based on proximity to the WTRU and/or an attribute of the WTRU. The neighbor discovery procedure may be performed to find neighbor WTRUs in case where a WTRU fails to find any network. A neighbor list may be generated by the neighbor seeking WTRU by measuring reference signals transmitted by neighbor WTRUs on an uplink to the network.

摘要： A method and apparatus for enabling scheduling and control of direct link communication in a cellular communication system may be disclosed. A method for use in a first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may include transmitting a request for device-to-device (D2D) communication resources to an enhanced Node B (eNB). The first WTRU may receive an allocation of resources for multiple transmission time intervals (TTI) to be used for D2D communications from the eNB. The first WTRU may schedule D2D communications with a second WTRU to be performed during the allocated resources. The first WTRU may perform D2D communications with the second WTRU using half duplex communications during the allocated resources.

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes circuitry that determines transmission power levels associated with physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions over a plurality of uplink component carriers. On a condition that maximum power scaling is required, the circuitry prioritizes providing power to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) over providing power to a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) having uplink control information (UCI) and prioritize providing power to the PUCCH and PUSCH having UCI over a PUSCH not having UCI. The circuitry transmits the PUCCH, the PUSCH having UCI or at least one PUSCH not having UCI over the plurality of uplink component carriers.

A receiver in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive one or more physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmissions comprising downlink control information (DCI). Based on the transmission profile, the WTRU may determine one or more transmission characteristics associated with the transmission of the UCI. The WTRU may transmit the UCI over a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UCI may be transmitted using transmission characteristics determined by the WTRU. The WTRU may transmit the UCI based on at least one of a control resource set (CORESET), a search space, or a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI). The WTRU may determine a transmission profile differently based on what the UCI may comprise.

摘要： Techniques may be used for interference measurement and management in directional mesh networks, including centralized and/or distributed approaches. A centralized node, such as an operations and maintenance (OAM) center, may use feedback from nodes in the mesh network to partition the nodes in the mesh network into clusters based on interference levels. Interference measurement reports may be used by the centralized node to update cluster membership. An initiating node in the mesh network may use topographical information to generate an initial interference cluster, and interference measurement frame (IMF) scheduling information may be used to schedule transmissions within the interference clusters. Techniques for opportunistic measurement campaigns, simultaneous measurement campaigns, link failure detection, and link re-acquisition in directional mesh networks may also be used.
