The closure arrangement (10) includes a base web (12) having a pair of edges with a pair of perforated tear lines (14,16) running in the same direction as the edges. 摘要： A vertical form fill and seal apparatus (10, Figure 1) is used to manufacture reclosable containers. A plastic zipper segment (18) is provided with a double seal flange configuration wherein two zippers (20,22) are provided for adjacent reclosable containers, one reclosable container being upside down and the other being the right way up. The zipper segment (18) is initially provided on a web (12) with a first flange (24) sealed to the web (12). A tube is formed so that lateral edges (12') are folded over and sealed to a second flange (36). A seal and cut is thereafter formed between adjacent zipper segments by sealing bars (52) to seal and separate the two reclosable containers from each other. Further cuts and seals are made by sealing bars (52) in between the zippers (20,22) in the segment (18), segments (18).

The various disclosed embodiments have the following common features: means for forming a first interior volume that is hermetically sealed, at least a portion of the first interior volume containing product; means for forming a second interior volume that is in fluid communication with the exterior of the package via a vent hole and is not in fluid communication with the first interior volume; and frangible means designed to rupture when the pressure inside the first interior volume increases to a predetermined level during cooking. The second interior volume will be in fluid communication with the first interior volume as a result of rupture of the frangible means.
