According to the method, a failure caused by key inconsistency in an RRC resume process or an RRC re-establishment process can be avoided.

摘要： Embodiments of this application provide a communication method, a radio access network device, and a terminal device. The method of a radio access network includes: The radio access network device determines, based on first information and second information, a quantity of paging cycles included in a paging cycle group and a sending location of paging information in the paging cycle group, and sends the paging information at the sending location. The paging cycle group includes at least one paging cycle, and different paging occasions in the paging cycle group serve different terminal devices. The first information is used to indicate a peak quantity of paging messages from a core network device within specified time, and the second information is used to indicate a paging capability of the radio access network device. Based on the method, the radio access network device can occupy a small quantity of paging occasions to send a paging message in the case of small paging load, to significantly reduce overheads of paging slots and paging energy consumption.

摘要： A beamforming-based communication method includes: obtaining cell information; when the cell information meets a preset low-load condition, dividing to-be-processed broadcast messages into a plurality of broadcast message groups; determining, based on a preset correspondence between a broadcast message and a broadcast beam, a broadcast beam group corresponding to each broadcast message group and a broadcast beam for sending no broadcast message in each time window; sending the broadcast message group in each time window by using the broadcast beam group; and shutting down, in each time window, the broadcast beam for sending no broadcast message. Some broadcast beams are used in each time window to send the broadcast message, and the broadcast beam for sending no broadcast message is shut down. In this way, power amplifiers working in each time window can be reduced, to reduce energy consumption of a network device. This application further provides a network device configured to implement the foregoing method.
