摘要： The invention relates, inter alia, to a method for conveying rod-like articles (21, 22) in the tobacco-processing industry, wherein the rod-like articles (21, 22) are conveyed, transversely to the axial direction, in accommodating hollows of conveying drums, with the conveying drums being rotated in the process. In accordance with the method, when the rod-like articles (21) which are to be conveyed are changed over from rod-like articles of a first type with a predetermined diameter to rod-like articles (22) of a second type with a predetermined diameter, the spacing between the accommodating hollows of at least one conveying drum changes, in dependence on the rod-like articles which are to be conveyed, such that the spacing between at least one abutment surface of the accommodating hollows of the conveying drum and the axis of rotation of the conveying drums for the rod-like articles (21, 22) of the first type and the spacing between the same abutment surface of the same accommodating hollows of the conveying drum and the axis of rotation of the conveying drums for the articles (22) of the second type are different.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for operating a machine (2, 3) of the tobacco processing industry. The machine (2, 3) comprises at least one conveying element (10, 50, 111, 112) driven by a drive (14) for the rod-shaped items of the tobacco processing industry. A rotary encoder (18) is provided for the drive (14), such that the rotary encoder (18) is coupled to the conveying element (10, 50, 111, 112) by means of the drive (14). The conveying element (10, 50, 111, 112) has several receptacles (12, 54) for rod-shaped items in the conveying direction. The method is characterized in that the conveying element (10, 50, 111, 112) has been or is brought into a predetermined conveying element reference position, the angular position of the rotary encoder (18) being detected as the rotary encoder reference position after the positioning of the conveying element (10, 50, 111, 112) in the conveying element reference position by a control device (16, 24), in particular a machine control device (24). 摘要： The invention relates to a printing unit (23) for applying print marks on a wrapping strip of the tobacco industry, especially on a cigarette paper strip (21) in a continuous cigarette machine. The aim of the invention is to provide a printing unit (23) that can be rapidly exchanged when the print format or the typography is changed. To this end, the printing unit is provided with a fastening device (86) with which the premounted cylinders (45, 46, 47) can be jointly fastened on and detached from the printing unit. The printing unit (23) according to the invention allows rapid detachment of new printing (45, 46) and/or counter-pressure cylinders (47) and replacement with a new printing unit with premounted cylinders.
