    • A streaming media information processing method and apparatus are disclosed. The streaming media information processing method includes: obtaining target spatial information of a target spatial object, where the target spatial object is one of two spatial objects that are associated with data of two images that is in target video data, the data of the two images is data of two images, the target spatial information includes same-attribute spatial information, the same-attribute spatial information includes same information between respective spatial information of the two spatial objects, and spatial information of a spatial object other than the target spatial object in the two spatial objects includes the same-attribute spatial information; and determining, based on the target spatial information, video data that needs to be played. A repeated part between the respective spatial information of the two spatial objects is replaced with a group of same-attribute spatial information, to reduce redundancy of the spatial information, thereby decreasing a data volume of the spatial information.

    • Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for processing a video stream. The method includes: acquiring a request message from a terminal, where the request message carries address information of multiple sub video screens; according to the address information, acquiring multiple substreams corresponding to the multiple sub video screens in a one-to-one manner; merging the multiple substreams into a single stream, and generating an indication message used to indicate a picture parameter of the single stream; and sending the single stream and the indication message to the terminal, so that the terminal decodes the single stream and displays decoded multiple sub video screens according to the indication message. In the embodiments of the present invention, by merging the multiple substreams into the single stream, the terminal is capable of displaying the multiple sub video screens by decoding the single stream, so that decoding switchover between the multiple substreams is not required, and therefore, decoding performance of the terminal can be improved.
