摘要： The invention relates to a method for controlling the forming of trains in classification yards. The inventive controlling method achieves an optimization of the capacity of a classification yard by a learning effect based on feedback. In particular, at the beginning of employing the controlling, the time intervals between sortings are selected so that they are large, and data regarding the sortings are collected. A computer calculates, from the time intervals that arise during these sortings in the critical zones of the yard, whether the time interval between the pushings-off on the hump of the yard may or may not be shortened. A self-learning system of this type is advantageous in that it requires a considerably smaller program size than conventional systems, which are based on inflexible algorithms and on the measurement of many influencing variables and which, despite all efforts to record all influences, remain, nevertheless, inflexible. In addition, the effort with regard to maintenance is considerably reduced. Due to the special capability of the software, the complexity of adaptation from train station to train station is distinctly lower than before.
