    • According to the invention, there is provided a bag making machine including feeding means for feeding two or more superposed layers of plastic film (2) longitudinally thereof and intermittently for a length, the layers of plastic film having void area means such as notch hole means (4), and a cutter (13) for cutting the layers of plastic film crossly thereof along a line predetermined with respect to the void area means whenever feeding the layers of plastic film are temporarily stopped, to thereby succesively make plastic bags. A detector (8) is disposed near the cutter for recognizing the contour of the void area means as an image data immediately before or when the layers of plastic film are temporarily stopped. A computer is connected to the detector for calculating the difference between the position of the predetermined line of the layers and the position of the cutting edge means of the cutter in accordance with the image data of the detector. Drive means is connected to the computer for moving the cutter parallel to the layers feeding direction in response to the output signal from the computer to thereby compensate and eliminate the difference between the position of the predetermined line of the layers and the position of the cutting edge means of the cutter.

    • There is disclosed an apparatus for intermittently and successively feeding sheet materials such as plastic bags into a plurality of sheet material processing stations which are spaced from each other along the feeding passage of the sheet material. The apparatus comprises movable elongated member means extending parallel to the feeding direction of sheet material, and fixed elongated member means extending parallel to the feeding direction of sheet material and disposed side by side with the movable elongated member means. The movable elongated member means is reciprocatingly moved in the longitudinal direction thereof at a stroke corresponding to the distance between the processing stations. The sheet materials are held by the holding means of the movable elongated member means and released from the holding means of the fixed elongated member means when the movable elongated member means is forwardly moved. The sheet materials are held by the holding means of the fixed elongated member means and released from the holding means of the movable member means when the movable member means is reversely and backwardly moved.

    • There is disclosed a conveyor for arranging and feeding sheet materials such as plastic bags (2) in a feeding direction, the sheet materials being discharged into a discharge position (4). The conveyor comprises first sprocket or pulley means (10) disposed near the discharge position of sheet material. The conveyor further comprises second sprocket or pulley means (12) disposed downstream of the first sprocket or pulley means in the feeding direction of sheet material. Endless chain or belt means (16) is stretched between the first and second sprocket or pulley means. A plurality of receivers (18) are spaced at a distance from each other along the endless chain or belt means and mounted on and fixed to the endless chain or belt means to extend outwardly of and perpendicularly to the endless chain or belt means, one of the receivers being disposed at the discharge position to receive the sheet materials successively discharged. The receivers are intermittently moved by the endless chain or belt means around the first sprocket or pulley means to feed the sheet materials and make them stand, whenever a number of sheet materials are discharged into the discharge position and stacked on the receiver disposed at the discharge position. In addition, the receivers are intermittently moved by the endless chain or belt means between the first and second sprocket or pulley means to feed the sheet materials with keeping them standing, whenever the number of sheet materials are discharged into the discharge position and stacked on the receiver disposed at the discharge position.
