摘要： The present dispensing closure system (20) includes a closure base (30), which can be configured for securement to an associated container (22), and a lid (32) hingedly connected to the closure base (30) for movement between closed and open positions, wherein in the closed position of the lid (32), the lid (32) coacts to close and seal a dispensing orifice (50) defined by the closure base (30). Convenient manipulation of the lid (32) between its closed and open positions is facilitated by the provision of a sliding element (36) mounted on the base (30) for sliding, reciprocable movement generally laterally of the closure base (30). Notably, the sliding element (36) includes a latch portion (78) which coacts with the lid (32) to positively retain the lid (32) in its closed position until manipulation of the sliding element (36) by a user to unlatch the lid (30). The sliding element (36) includes one or more camming surfaces (82) which coact with the lid (32) to urge it from its closed position to its open position.

摘要： A dispensing closure system is provided for a container that has an opening wherein a membrane (28) is interposed between the container opening (27) and the dispensing closure system (20). The system includes a base (30) for extending from the container at the opening. The base (30) has a receiving passage and an annular sealing flange (60) extending radially inwardly around the passage. A movable spout (34) is mounted in the base receiving passage and has a grippable discharge end that projects axially outwardly from the base receiving passage. The spout (34) has a dispensing passage extending through the spout and has a peripheral sealing surface that is sealingly engaged with the base annular sealing flange (60). The spout also has a piercing element (120) at an axially inward end of the spout. A cam track (70) is located in either the base or the spout. A cam follower (130) is located on the other one of the base and spout, and the cam follower is engaged in the cam track. The grippable discharge end of the spout can be grasped to rotate the spout for moving the spout axially to pierce the membrane.
