    • A quick-coupling between a male part (90) and a female part (92) has provided in the cylindrical end-part (134) of the male part an axially displaceable piston body (106) provided with sealing ring (108), and a sealing sleeve (134) which is provided with a sealing ring (164) and which is axially movable in the female part around a stationary piston body (138). Insertion of the male part into the female part causes the piston bodies to be brought into engagement with one another, while the cylindrical end-part is pressed inwardly by the sealing sleeve of the female part. Each of the piston bodies and respective sealing rings (108, 164) coact with a respective, axially movable valve sleeve (122, 156), in a manner such that, until the piston bodies have reached an intermediate position, a through-flow channel (132, 145) is held closed by means of a gap closed by the valve sleeve until respective sealing rings have been moved by relative displacement from one side of the gap to the other side thereof, whereafter continued displacement of the piston bodies to their respective end positions in the coupled state of the coupling causes the gaps to open for flow therethrough.

    • The invention relates to a coupling for hoses or the like for media under pressure. The coupling comprises a female part (1) and anipple (2) which fits into the latter and also a ball lock (3) for locking the nipple (2) in the connected position in the female part. A locking sleeve (6) is spring-loaded towards a locking position in which it holds the ball lock (3) in the engagement position. The locking sleeve (6) can be moved, counter to the spring-loading, to a release position in which the ball lock (3) is released, the movement of the locking sleeve (6) to the release position comprising both rotation about the longitudinal axis of the coupling and axial displacement parallel to this axis. According to the invention, the locking sleeve (6) comprises a main part (7) and an inner ring (8) which is rotatable in relation to the main part (7) and is arranged so as to interact with the ball lock (3) and also, by displacement parallel to the longitudinal axis of the coupling, be moved in order to allow the ball lock (3) to be transferred between the engagement position and the release position.

    • A high pressure fluid coupling assembly comprises a nipple (1) with a neck 1 a to be held in a yoke 3, which is pulled towards a socket box 2 by a lever mechanism 4. When the nipple is pulled into complete engagement with the socket, the final downward movement of the lever 6 pushes a locking plate 10 into locking engagement with the distal ends of guide bolts 5, evenly distributed about the nipple and extending from the yoke and sliding through the socket box 2 to the locking plate 10, which is in contact with the side of the socket box 2 facing away from the yoke. The locking plate 10, guide bolts 5, yoke 3 and socket box 2 take up the nipple/socket separating force generated by the very high hydraulic pressure instead of the arms and joints of the lever mechanism 4.
