    • The present invention provides a drive axle assembly and a method of operating the same. The drive axle assembly (15) comprises: a drive shaft (6) configured to rotate with a driving torque; a first clutch pack assembly (11, 20, 40) comprising a first forward clutch arrangement (26) and a first reverse clutch arrangement (28); a second clutch pack assembly (13, 25) comprising a second forward clutch arrangement (27) and a second reverse clutch arrangement (29); a first drive wheel assembly connected to the first clutch pack assembly (11, 20, 40), wherein the first forward clutch arrangement (26) is configured to selectively provide at least a portion of the driving torque of the drive shaft (6) to the first drive wheel (1) for rotation in a first rotation direction, and the first reverse clutch arrangement (28) is configured to selectively provide at least a portion of the driving torque of the drive shaft (6) to the first drive wheel (1) for rotation in a second rotation direction; and a second drive wheel assembly connected to the second clutch pack assembly (13, 25), wherein the second forward clutch arrangement (28) is configured to selectively provide at least a portion of the driving torque of the drive shaft (6) to the second drive wheel (3) for rotation in the first rotation direction, and the second reverse clutch arrangement (29) is configured to selectively provide at least a portion of the driving torque of the drive shaft (6) to the second drive wheel (3) for rotation in the second rotation direction.

    • In one embodiment, a vehicle (100) comprises a body, a steerable drive wheel (110) attached to the body, and a load platform (120) connected to the body that is movable between a lowered position and a lifted position. A load wheel (125) is connected to the load platform and an intermediate load wheel (130) is connected to the vehicle and positioned between the drive wheel and the load wheel. The load wheel (125) is configured to facilitate moving the load platform between the lowered position and the lifted position and the intermediate load wheel (130) is configured to cooperate with the load wheel to facilitate moving the load platform between the lowered position and the lifted position. The intermediate load wheel (130) is also configured to form a pivot about which the vehicle turns throughout a range of motion of the load platform between and including the lowered position and the lifted position.

    • A stabilizer system for an industrial vehicle includes one or more stabilizer cylinders mounted to the industrial vehicle, wherein the stabilizer cylinders are configured to contact the ground when deployed. The stabilizer system further includes a pressure sensor configured to determine a hydraulic system pressure, and a processor configured to calculate a stabilizing pressure to be applied to the one or more stabilizer cylinders. The stabilizing pressure is based on the hydraulic system pressure in order to improve a forward stability of the industrial vehicle when the one or more stabilizer cylinders are deployed.
