摘要： A handle unit (10) for a shopping trolley formed from a moulded material comprises a central housing (12) with a hand gripping portion (28 and 29) to either side. In the preferred embodiment, the housing incorporates a control unit, the front of which forms an information panel (16) for providing information to the user. The information panel (16) is formed by inter alia an electronically operated display screen (18), a calculator (20) and a bar code reader (22). A power source (24) is housed within the housing. In another embodiment, the front face of the central housing (12) is filled in and forms the information panel (16) which retains a printed advertisement and a calculator (20) for providing information to the user.

摘要： An improved trolley handle 3 comprising a panel 11 and generally tubular handle members 10. The handle members 10 have internal ribs 24 to provide strength. The handle is attached to a trolley by a device 12 comprising a collar 42 having splines for engagement with the ribs 24 on the internal surface of the handle members 10, thereby allowing the handle 3 to be mounted at a desired angle or orientation to the trolley. The handle 3 may also comprise a panel 11 with a hinged cover 23 to allow visual material to be displayed. The cover 23 is kept shut using a snap fit catch 26. The catch 26 is tamper proof and released by a key.
