    • The invention relates to a crimping system including a cradle (4) having metal plates (30, 31) disposed thereon, said metal plates (30, 31) being joined to one another by bending a flange (30') provided on the first metal plate (30). The system also includes rollers (21, 22) which move in a bending direction (A) in order to bend the flange (30') using a crimping device. The aforementioned crimping device includes a single robot arm (1) having a crimping tool (2) at one end thereof, said crimping tool (2) including rollers (21, 22) and a platform (7). The rollers (21, 22) can move linearly independently of the platform (7) in a direction (B) perpendicular to the bending direction (A) by means of a first actuator (8) and a second actuator (9) respectively.
