摘要： The invention relates to a method for the automatic grading of articles, such as garments. For an article of a given type, such as a garment, the invention comprises the use of: (i) a grading mask comprising images of pieces of a reference article, in the form of geometric areas which each contain one or more characteristic points of a piece of the reference article; and (ii) grading formulas which are associated respectively with the different areas. According to the invention, each formula can be used to determine a movement to be applied to each characteristic point in the associated geometric area in order to move from the base size to another size, each of said formulas being a function of the variation in one or more values on a body measurement chart or a pre-determined increment value. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: obtaining images of the pieces of the article to be graded for a size corresponding to the base size of the mask, placing said images on the mask in positions corresponding to those of the pieces of the mask and automatically grading the pieces using the mask formulas and a selected body measurement chart.

摘要： A theoretical arrangement of portions on a patterned fabric is determined and stored. The actual fabric (20) is checked by detecting any deviation between the actual pitch of the pattern (M) on the spread fabric and the theoretical pitch used to determine the arrangement. The arrangement is changed depending on the detected deviation so that it matches the actual pitch of the spread fabric prior to the fabric cutting step. The fabric is checked by imaging parts of the spread fabric using an imaging sensor (60), and ensuring that locations corresponding to stored data are in the proper positions on the resulting images relative to the actual pattern of the spread fabric.

摘要： Ultrasonic pulses are emitted by two transmitters (12, 14) carried on an instrument (10) and substantially aligned with the tip thereof. A plurality of receivers (62a, ..., 62e) occupy predetermined positions relative to a base (50) on which a line is drawn with the tip of the instrument, such that the ultrasonic pulses emitted from any point on the base surface are received by more than two receivers. The ultrasonic pulse propagation times between each transmitter and the receivers are measured to determine the co-ordinates of the vector defined by the positions of the two transmitters, and thereby deduce the position of the instrument tip on the base, and at least one of the two instrument orientation data items consisting of the longitudinal tilt of the instrument relative to the base and the angular position of the instrument about an axis which is at a predetermined angle to said base. Furthermore, the pressure exerted on the base by the instrument tip is sensed in order to determine line width data on the basis of the orientation data and/or the pressure data, and instrument tip position data is combined with corresponding line width data.
