The displacement of the cap (8) closes the activation opening (11) of the cap (8) and reduces the volume of the activation compartment (10) to force at least a portion of the fluid from the activation compartment (10) through the activation port (19) into the housing (2) and then through a filter medium (3) until the cap (8) is in the use position and is in contact with the housing (2) such that the use opening (19) of the cap (8) overlaps the inlet port (5) of the housing (2) and allows fluid to pass through the inlet port (5) into the housing (2) .
