    • In a rotor for a centrifugal separator there is delimited at one rotor end a distribution chamber (24) for a pressurised liquid supplied to the rotor for being cleaned from particles, and at the opposite rotor end there are liquid outlets arranged for reaction drive of the rotor. The liquid outlets open on the rotor outside in a liquid free space radially spaced from the rotational axis of the rotor. The separation chamber (7) of the rotor, which is situated between the distribution chamber (24) and the outlets (27), contains arcuate separation discs (11), which are distributed around the rotational axis (10) of the rotor and formed such that a lot of axially extending separation channels are delimited, which have a relatively small through-flow resistance to liquid to be cleaned. The separation channels extend axially from the distribution chamber (24) to a collecting chamber (25). The collecting chamber (25) communicates with an outlet chamber (26) at a radial level in the rotor corresponding to that of the radially innermost parts of the separation discs. By the invention efficient separation can be accomplished and the largest possible part of the pressure of the supplied liquid can be used for the rotation of the rotor.

    • The invention refers to a device for separating a surface layer of a liquid by a container submerged in the liquid. The container includes a bottom, a wall member, connected to the bottom and having a variable length, and a separating member, which is connected to the wall member and communicates with a space in the container via an opening. An overflow portion of the separating member is located below a free liquid surface of the surface layer and permits the flowing of liquid. A discharge conduit extends from the space for liquid discharge. A floating member, connected to the separating member, floats on the liquid outside the container and exerts a lifting force upon the separating member in a direction prolonging the wall member. A submerging member is connected to the separating member and located below the over flow portion. The submerging member has a mass and exerts a downwardly directed force, so that the overflow portion is located below the free liquid surface, and a lifting force due to liquid pressure when the space has been filled with such a quantity of liquid that the submerging member partly is located in the liquid, wherein the overflow portion will be above the free liquid surface.

    • A locking ring (1) for joining a first and a second part (2, 3, respectively) of a rotor in a centrifugal separator, the first rotor part (2) having a circular cylindrical end portion (4), which has a certain inner radius and a centre line, which essentially coincides with the rotational axis, and the second part (3) has an annular flange portion (5). The locking ring (1) is arranged to be brought radially outwardly from a position radially inside the inside of the circular cylindrical end portion (4) and axially outside the annular flange portion (5) into a recess (7) and via two radially outer contact surfaces (8, 9) to abut against the end portion (4) and via inner contact surfaces (10, 11) to abut against the flange portion (5). According to the invention the locking ring (1) extends substantially a complete revolution around the rotational axis with two end surfaces turned towards one another and being so formed in one single integrated piece out of an elastically resilient material that it in unloaded condition tends to be substantially annular shaped with an outer diameter, which is at least as large as the outer radius of the recess (7), and that the contact surfaces (8, 9, 10, 11) are so located and directed that they in every axial section around the rotational axis have a middle point, in which the contact surfaces (8, 9, 10, 11) have a direction of normalcy, which is the same and coinciding for all the contact surfaces (8, 9, 10, 11), and in direction towards the separation chamber (12) in the interior of the rotor forms an acute angle with the rotational axis, the contact surfaces (8, 9, 10, 11) being substantially symmetrical with respect to this direction of normalcy.

    • Method and device (21) for the supply of control liquid to a rotor of a centrifugal separator, which device (21) comprises a cylinder (25), in which a movable wall element (26) is arranged, which axially delimits a storing chamber (29) in the cylinder (25). In the storing chamber (29) a predetermined volume of control liquid is stored. Control liquid is pressed out of the storing chamber (29) into the rotor during axial displacement of the wall element (26). Futhermore, the invention comprises a centrifugal separator, which is provided with such a device (21). A portion of the control liquid in the storing chamber (29) is pressed upon displacement of the wall element (26) a first distance out through a first outlet passage (33) in the device with a high flow. The first outlet passage (33) is then closed when the wall element (26) has been displaced this distance. A portion of the remaining control volume of control liquid in the storing chamber (29) is pressed out of the storing chamber (29) upon continuing displacement of the wall element (26) a second distance through a second outlet passage (36) in the supplying device (21) with a flow, which is substantially lower than the first flow.

    • The present invention concerns among other things a plate heat exchanger for at least two heat exchanging fluids which heat exchanger is permanenty joined with at least one sealing means and comprises at least one core of plates with heat transferring plates (1-8), at least two end plates as well as inlet organs and outlet organs for the heat exchanging fluids. The core of plates includes alternating heat transferring plates (1-4) and intermediate heat transferring plates (5-8) between the alternating plates. Each one of the said alternating heat transferring plates (1-4) and a second one of the said two respective adjacent intermediate plates (5-8) form a double wall unit.
