A method for making a hermetic device containing a detectable gas, and an exemplary hermetic device comprising an electrochemical cell or a capacitor are also disclosed.

This provides sufficient space between the weld (216,320,416,514) and the separator (218,420,520,606,804,904,1016) supported on the anode at the contour so that what heat is transmitted to the separator by convection and conduction mechanism will not damage the separator (218,420,520,606,804,904,1016).

摘要： A solvent band casting system (10) is disclosed which contains a tank (12) for mixing and/or storing a polymer solution for a band casting machine (14) having at least a first (16) and a second rotating drums (18) about which a continuous metal band (20) is tensioned to travel with the rotation of the drums. A sheeting die (22) applies the polymer solution from the tank to the metal band where a drying chamber (24), enclosing a least a portion of the metal band downline of the sheeting die, is used to remove solvent from the polymer solution as it travels in a thin sheet on the metal band. A surfactant applicator (31) in communication with a supply of surfactant (66) and a portion of the metal band (20) is disclosed. In addition, the use of a surfactant to substantially reduce or eliminate bubbles in the polymer film product is disclosed, as well as the mechanisms by which the surfactant is believed to facilitate bubble reduction. Finally, a system controller (36) can be connected to monitor and/or control at least one component of the system.

摘要： A catalyst for catalytic cracking process for the production of light olefins comprises 10 SIMILAR 70wt% (based on the weight of catalyst) of clay, 5 SIMILAR 85wt% of inorganic oxides and 1 SIMILAR 50wt% zeolite, wherein said zeolite is a mixture of 0 SIMILAR 25wt% of Y type zeolite and 75 SIMILAR 100wt% of phosphorus and aluminum or phosphorus and magnesium or phosphorus and calcium containing high silica zeolite having a structure of pentasil; said pentasil high silica zeolite being one selected from the group consisting of ZSM-5, ZSM-8 and ZSM-11 of zeolites containing 2 SIMILAR 8wt% of phosphorus and 0.3 SIMILAR 3wt% of aluminum or magnesium or calcium (calculated as the oxides), having a silica/alumina mole ratio of 15-60. The catalyst exhibits excellent activity stability and high yields of light olefin, especially for ethylene, also method for preparation of the catalyst. It can attain the same level of yields of light olefins as that of steam thermal cracking at a lower reaction temperature than that of steam thermal cracking.

摘要： Generally speaking, the present invention is a water-soluble copolymer film comprising a hydrolyzed copolymer of vinyl acetate and a second monomer, the resultant polyvinyl alcohol copolymer having a degree of hydrolysis, expressed as a percentage of vinyl acetate units converted to vinyl alcohol units, of from about 90% to 100%. The second monomer is preferably selected from the group of monomers having carboxylate functionality or sulfonate functionality. The resulting water-soluble copolymer film is disclosed for use in making pouches to contain a unit dose of liquid detergent, such as a liquid laundry detergent. However, it is an aspect of the copolymer film that film solubility to is not significantly affected adversely by the detergent. Such film produces pouches having a greater storage shelf-life over prior art water-soluble film.
