摘要： The invention provides processes for the neutralisation of bauxite refinery residue by treatment with water containing sufficient calcium and magnesium ions to react with substantially all of the hydroxide, carbonate, fluoride and oxalate ions present in the bauxite refinery residue, and for a time sufficient for the treated refinery residue to exhibit a reaction pH of less than 10.5. The invention also provides processes and compositions for the treatment of water contaminated with dissolved inorganic substances such as acids and/or metal ions, the processes involving at least one step of adding to the water a bauxite refinery residue which has been treated with water containing sufficient calcium and magnesium ions to react with substantially all of the hydroxide, carbonate, fluoride and oxalate ions present in the bauxite refinery residue, and for a time sufficient for the treated refinery residue to exhibit residue to exhibit a reaction pH of less than 10.5.

摘要： A method and device for treating manganese containing water, wherein meltable manganese in water is removed by crystallizing by passing untreated water containing carbonic acid ions in an upstream direction to a fluidized-bed reaction column having no support bed and using manganese sand as a fluidizing medium and by regulating a pH value of treated water inside the fluidized bed. Meltable manganese in untreated water, as well as suspended manganese, being removed by removing a suspended material layer in untreated water that has passed the fluidized bed at the upper portion of the manganese sand fluidized bed of the fluidized-bed reaction column and a required amount of treated water being introduced into untreated water for cyclic use.
