摘要： Provided is a simple kit by which carcinoma cells metastasizing from a primary cancer lesion to a lymph node, in particular, a sentinel lymph node can be conveniently and accurately detected within a short period of time. Also disclosed is a drug delivery agent whereby a drug to be used in a test or therapy can be preferentially delivered into the sentinel lymph node as described above in which an environment easily allowing the adhesion of micro cancer cells has been constructed by a primary cancer lesion and to which micro cancer cells adhere. A kit for detecting cancer cells metastasizing into a sentinel lymph node which comprises a human lymph channel-origin endothelial cell line attached to a base material. A drug delivery agent toward to sentinel lymph node wherein an antibody against an adhesive molecule, which mediates the adhesion of metastatic cancer cells from a primary cancer lesion to lymph channel endothelial cells in the sentinel lymph node, is exposed on the surface of colloidal particles.

摘要： Provided herein are methods of selective enrichment of ligands present in a suitable biological sample. According to the invention, one or a plurality of receptor carriers may be used to capture ligands which are capable of binding to receptors immobilized on the surface of the receptor carriers. The receptor carriers bound with the ligands are separated from the remaining sample and the ligands are then eluted with a ligand elution solution to result in a ligand-containing solution, which is further concentrated to give a ligand sample. In one embodiment, the receptor carriers are living cells comprising a plurality of receptors on the outer leaflet of cytoplasmic membranes. Ligand samples obtained by the present invention may be useful for ligand profiling, for example, via any known methods including 2-D gel electrophoresis coupled with mass spectrometry, for example.

One detection system may include a genetically engineered phage that expresses a surface molecule able to bind a target molecule; a bacterium susceptible to infection by the phage; and a detection component able to determine whether the bacterium has been infected by the phage. Infection of a bacterium by a phage may be indicative of phage binding to the target molecule. One method may include placing a sample suspected of containing the target molecule with a binder; adding a genetically engineered phage having reporter genetic material and able to bind the target molecule; washing away unbound phage; releasing phage bound to the target molecule; infecting a bacterium with the released phage; and detecting the presence of any reporter genetic material in the bacterium. Reporter material in the bacterium may correlate with target molecule in the sample.
