    • Devices for the remote transmission of controls in security constituted by a remote control device comprising a microprocessor equipped with EPROM and programmed in such a way to be suitable to code the output messages according to a fixed base code and a dynamic code, determined for any message performing a predetermined algorithm on the dinamic code employed in the previous transmitted message, and by a receiver connected to the means to control, comprising a microprocessor equipped with an EPROM and programmed in such a way to be suitable to check the code of the received messages on the ground of the same fixed base code of the remote control device and of the dynamic code, which it determines automatically performing the same algorithm of the remote control device on the stored dynamic code of the previous received message, and to transmit a control signal of the means to control after the positive comparison of the two codes of the input message with the base code and the new dynamic code, calculated by itself, taken toghether, being the base codes and part of the instructions for performing the algorithm, as the other instructions are comprised in the program, storable upon assembling of the devices in the EPROMs while the dynamic codes are stored and erased progressively during the various operations of the devices.

    • A partitionable antitheft system remotely activable and disactivable utilizes the same remote control for com­manding both the activation/disactivation of the anti­thievery system and for excluding (partitioning) a certain function of the system. According to a preferred embodiment, the partitioning takes place by maintaining pressed the push-button for remotely activating the antitheft system for a time exceeding a certain reset time interval. By further persisting to keep pressed the push-button, it is possible to implement also a second partitioning by excluding a second function of the system and so on. Existing systems may be retrofitted according to the present invention by adding a ramp generator circuit (R61) with an appropriate time constant which is triggered by the decoded signal received by the antitheft system and by utilizing the output signal of such a ramp generator circuit for implementing a reset function upon a particular flip-flop (F/F1) acting as a switch to enable or disable a certain system's function.

    • @ A keyless access control and security system especially adapted for use with an automobile comprises a piezoelectric permutation touchpad unit which can be affixed, without requiring bodywork, to the outside of the vehicle's door in the key cylinder aperture. The touchpad is illuminated when touched and is therefore usable in the dark. The person seeking access must enter the correct access code combination on the touchpad to open the door andforthe trunk. The touchpad is connected to a remotely located logic circuit which controls access. The circuit provides for a signal of low intensity, indicating that a correction in the code entered into the touchpad should be made and, after a time delay, an alarm of high intensity, if no correction is made. Upon activation of the alarm, the headlights are flashed, the horn is sounded, or both. In order to enable a parking attendant, repairman, or some other authorized person to have access to the automobile without revealing the access code, the logic circuit can be programmed, by operation of the touchpad, using the proper access code and a further secondary code, arbitrarily selected, to provide access to the automobile in response to the secondary code, which later can be erased.

    • @ Provided is an anti-theft device for automobiles and other vehicles which uses a visual display (29) rather than a sound alarm to alert others to the fact that the vehicle has been stolen. This alarm function is accomplished by providing a logic system coupled to the vehicle ignition switch (16), a locking switch (15) and the vehicle electrical power supply (25). The logic system then provides appropriate signals to a memory system (27) which translates those signals into an input for the display system (29) of the device when the vehicle ignition switch (16) is turned on without first disarming the locking switch (15). Also provided is a separate input device which can be used to display other messages on the display system (29) of the anti-theft device. This portion of the anti-theft device is typically made up of a key-pad (17) which is coupled to a decoder. The decoder translates information from the key-pad (17) into binary form and provides that binary input to the memory (27) for outputting various messages. This latter aspect of the device has been found to be particularly useful for conveying emergency information and summoning assistance.
