    • There is disclosed a heater unit (1600) for conductively heating a removable heat exchanger unit (1602) via a heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger unit, the heater unit comprising: a body portion (1610) for receiving the heat exchanger unit (1602); a flexible heating element (1604) which, in use, makes thermal contact with the heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger unit; a compressible portion (1606) disposed on the distal side of the flexible heating element (1604) relative to the heat exchanger unit (1602) when received; and a biasing arrangement (1608) operable, in use, to distribute a transverse compression force across the arrangement formed from the compressible portion (1606), the heating element (1604) and the heat exchanger unit (1602), whereby the compression force causes the heating element (1604) to be urged towards the heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger unit (1602) and the compressible portion, in conjunction with the compression force, causes the heating element (1604) to conform more closely to the shape of the heat transfer surface.

    • Provided is a heating device for blocking flow of air if the inside of a cartridge enters a negative-pressure state upon discontinuing or completing supply of a transfusion infusion solution or blood being infused into a human body, the device including: a cartridge upper plate which is formed so as to have an inflow port and to have a fluid-guide member for guiding the flow of a fluid; a cartridge lower plate which is formed so as to have an outflow port so as to have another fluid-guide member positioned spaced apart from said fluid-guide member; a heater which is disposed between the cartridge upper plate and the lower plate and that heats the fluid being guided by means of the fluid-guide members; air filters which are positioned outside the fluid-guide members and that are adapted to discharge air bubbles that are generated in the heated fluid into the atmosphere; and means which are provided on the cartridge upper and lower plate fluid flow pathways, that keep the flow of fluid normal in the positive-pressure state and block the fluid movement pathway if a negative pressure occurs inside the cartridge.

    • The present invention relates to a device 20 designed to promote heat exchange to/from a medical liquid ML. The device comprises an inlet 21, an outlet 22 and a duct 23 adapted to contain a flow of the medical liquid ML. The duct is enclosed between two walls 230, 231, has a planar development defining a mean plane À, and comprises means 24 for promoting turbulence in the flow of the liquid ML. At least one wall 230 of the duct is suitable to allow a heat exchange with the flow of the liquid ML. The means for promoting turbulence comprises a plurality of fins 240, wherein each fin 240 n has a lenticular cross section and defines its own mean plane Ä n substantially perpendicular to plane À. The invention also relates to a disposable cassette 30 for use in a PD/APD treatment, comprising a polymeric structure defining a first part 31, suitable for pumping and distributing the medical liquid ML, SML, and a second part 32 comprising a device (20) similar to the one described above.
