摘要： A housing for a high voltage electrical switch includes a tubular body having a top portion and a bottom portion opposite the top portion and removable shed sleeves. A first shed sleeve is removably attached to an outside surface of the top portion, such that an interior surface of the first shed sleeve forms a dielectric interface between the outside surface of the top portion and the interior surface of the first shed sleeve. A second shed sleeve is removably attached to an outside surface of the bottom portion, such that an interior surface of the second shed sleeve forms a dielectric interface between the outside surface of the bottom portion and the interior surface of the second shed sleeve. The first and second shed sleeves are stretched over their respective portions of the tubular body and secured via an interference fit.

摘要： This invention pertains to a cord connector that both seals and provides strain relief automatically upon wire insertion. The cord connector comprises a wire passageway through a pliable shell which seals around both the wire inserted through the passageway as well as the knock-out or wall opening into which the connector is secured. A more rigid skeleton supports this shell and is provided with appendages which permit the wire to pass through the passageway but which block or resist any removal of the wire from the passageway. Preferably the shell is over-molded over the skeleton for ease of manufacture.

摘要： A connector system for a high voltage vacuum switch which includes: a voltage source connector; a load connector; a first contact in a vacuum bottle; and a second contact connected in series with the first contact, wherein the second contact is external to the vacuum bottle. The voltage source is connected to the load through the first and second contacts and the second contact includes a first separable interface, a second separable interface and a conducting pin. When the conducting pin is removed, an insulating pin can be inserted in its place. In preferred embodiments, the connector system includes a housing and a sight glass which extends through the housing for viewing the conducting pin. The connector system can also include a first and second connectors for the first and second separable interfaces, which are used for test connections and/or grounding connections.

摘要： A connector for an automobile airbag gas generator assembly requires only a single operator action to establish both mechanical and electrical engagement with a mating socket connector and two indepedent operator actions to disengage the connector from the socket connector. An alternate embodiment of the connector present invention requires two independent operator actions to establish both mechanical and electrical engagement with a mating socket connector carrying a deflectable shorting clip and three independent operator actions to disengage from the socket connector. A further embodiment of the connector of the present invention requires two independent operator actions for both establishing and breaking mechanical and electrical engagement with a mating socket. An improved shorting clip design is also provided as well as keying modes for assuring proper mechanical connection.
