    • An open roof construction for a vehicle having an opening (1) in its fixed roof (2) comprises a stationary part (3) to be secured to the roof of the vehicle and a movable closing element (4), which is movably supported by said stationary part and which can be adjusted by a drive unit (9). The closing element can move between a closed position, in which the roof opening is closed, and an open, rearward position, at least partially above the fixed roof, in which position the roof opening is at least partially cleared. The stationary part is fitted with at least a first longitudinal guide (6) extending along the roof opening, and with a second longitudinal (7) guide on the fixed rood, rearward of the roof opening. The closing element is supported near its front side by a slideshoe (8) which is slidably supported in said first longitudinal guide, and rearward thereof it is supported by a guide element (29) which is capable of sliding movement in said longitudinal guide.
      The second longitudinal guide (7) comprises a front, short, substantially vertical part (7') and an upwardly and rearwardly extending part (7'') which joins said part upwardly thereof. The closing element (4) comprises a locking mechanism (26,28) on its rear side, which is driven by said drive unit, which locking mechanism temporarily engages the closing element (4) near the closed position thereof, and which effects the movement of the closing element when the guide element (29) of the closing element is present in said at least approximately vertical part (7) of said second longitudinal guide (7).

    • A tilt-sliding roof for a vehicle comprises a panel (5) displaceable between a first position, in which a panel closes an opening (3) provided in the fixed roof (1) of the vehicle, and a second position, in which the panel (5) opens the opening (3) provided in the fixed roof (1) of the vehicle at least for the greater part. The panel (5) is further tiltable between the first closed position and a third position in which the panel is tilted at least partially from a vehicle. The tilt-sliding roof further comprises a screen (6) which is displaceable between the first closed position and an open position, and a displacement mechansim (7) with which, in operation, the screen (6) is opened at least a predetermined distance if the panel is moved by this displacement (7) mechanism into the third tilted position. The displacement mechanism (7) includes a displaceable element (12), a first gear rack (12) coupled to this displaceable element (12), a second gear rack (23) coupled to the screen (6) and a gear wheel (19) cooperating with the first and second gear racks. The second gear rack (23) comprises a first member protruding towards the screen (6) and is adapted to be engaged with a second member protruding from the screen (6) with which, in operation, the screen (6) is opened at least said predetermined distance when the panel (5) is moved to the third position.

    • A vehicle has a roof assembly for opening an opening (1) in its fixed roof (2). It comprises a frame (3) attached to the vehicle roof and a panel (4) which is movably supported by said stationary part and which can be adjusted by means of an adjusting mechanism (5) including a driving slide (6). The panel is movable between a closed position for closing the roof opening, and an open, rearward position for being at least partially above the roof area behind the roof opening, in which the roof opening is at least partially released. The frame (3) is fitted with at least one front longitudinal guide track (7) extending at least along the roof opening (1), whereas a rear longitudinal guide track (8) is mounted at least substantially rearward of the roof opening. The closure element (4) is supported near its front side by a front support (9) which is movably guided by said front longitudinal guide track (7), and which is supported rearwards thereof by a lifting device (10) comprising a guiding device (20,21;27) for engagement in said rear longitudinal guide track (8) upon rearward movement of the panel (4). The lifting device (10) is adapted to tilt the panel (4) from the closed position in the roof opening (1) to an upwardly inclined venting position on the one hand and to move the panel (4) from the closed position reawardly on the other hand.
