    • An ejection detecting unit for detecting whether or not a droplet is ejected includes a droplet landing member having a droplet landing surface on which the droplet lands, a wiping member configured to wipe the droplet off the droplet landing surface on which the droplet lands, and a cleaning member configure to remove the droplet adhered to the wiping member from the wiping member for cleaning. The wiping member is configured to deform elastically when being pressed against the cleaning member. The cleaning member includes a contact part with which the wiping member makes contact after wiping the droplet off the droplet landing surface. The contact part of the cleaning member is formed in such a shape as to make contact with the wiping member first at side ends of the wiping member and then gradually toward a center of the wiping member in a direction perpendicular to a wiping direction of the wiping member.
