    • The invention relates to a contactless log-on system for computers, comprising a data carrier containing an ID code, a code detecting device to detect said code and a transmitter device sending out an ID signal to the detecting device. The transmitter device section of the transponder system is characterized in that the detecting device is arranged in a computer input/output device or a mouse pad and is connected to the computer interface in such a way that no additional computer interface is used. The log-on system also comprises a contactless data carrier and a code detecting device, preferably a transceiver antenna, which is connected to the computer and which communicates in a contactless manner with the data carrier. In order to identify the user, the contactless data carrier which is located on the wrist is brought into the range of the antenna by moving it close to said antenna. The data carrier's built-in transmission system is activated by the field of the antenna and sends out an ID code. The antenna subsequently receives the log-on signal (ID code) which is transmitted to the computer.

    • The present invention relates to a facsimile apparatus that has a plurality of lines(L1, L2 ...) connected thereto and is capable of make facsimile communication in the parallel use of these lines. More specifically, when a plurality set of data is being received through two or more lines(L1, L2) in parallel, the facsimile device of the present invention allows the set of data that has completed storage of its first one page content most quickly to preferentially use a printer(16). Then that set of data is allowed to continue delivering the hard copy of whole pages and releases the printer(16) after completing the delivery. The image data of the other set of data that was not able to occupy the printer(16) is stored in the memory(19) and printed out after the release of the printer(16). As the whole pages of a set of data is successively output, image data of other sets of data is never mixed with the currently output one.

    • A magnetic recording medium includes a non-magnetic supporting substrate, and a magnetic layer on one surface thereof and a back coat layer on the other surface thereof, said back coat layer having a non-magnetic powder dispersed in a binder. The back coat layer contains carbon black and an inorganic powder as said non-magnetic powder. The carbon black contains a carbon black species having an average primary particle diameter of 40 to 70 nm, and the inorganic powder has an average primary particle diameter of 40 to 150 nm and a Mohs hardness of at least 3, with a weight ratio between said carbon black and said inorganic powder being 100:0.5 to 100:10. The binder comprises a phenoxy resin, a thermoplastic polyurethane resin having an amino group in a molecule thereof, and a polyisocyanate compound.
