摘要： Apparatus for housing a rotatable component and exchanging heat and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The apparatus includes a first casing and a second casing spaced apart from the first casing and defining a gap therebetween. The apparatus also includes a cooling fluid manifold coupled to a source of a cooling fluid, and a stack of plates coupled to the first and second casings and extending therebetween to fill the gap. The first and second casings and the stack of plates define at least a portion of a pressurized containment area therein. Further, the stack of plates includes a bore in which the rotatable component is received and defines process fluid flowpaths configured to direct process fluid to and/or from the rotatable component. The stack of plates is in fluid communication with the cooling fluid manifold and transfers heat from the process fluid to the cooling fluid.

The tube may be made of aluminum (Al), and an interval between an outer circumferential surface of the tube and an inner circumferential surface of the fin collar of the at least one fin may be approximately 0.1 mm or less. Accordingly, contact resistance occurring when fabricating a fin-tube heat exchanger using a mechanical tube expansion method may be reduced, and heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger may be improved because grooves formed within the tube may not be deformed.

The method includes the steps of: a) providing an upper casing and a lower casing, wherein a receiving space is defined between the upper casing and the lower casing; b) positioning a capillary and a brace in the receiving space, welding the upper casing and the lower casing in a manner to seal a seam therebetween hermetically, and reserving a crevice; c) sintering; d) injecting a liquid working medium from the crevice into the receiving space; and e) putting the combination of the upper casing and the lower casing into which the liquid working medium has been injected in step d) in a vacuum environment and welding the crevice quickly to seal the crevice hermetically. An exposed heat-dissipating device without injection tube effective in dissipating heat is manufactured by the method.
