摘要： Gaseous fuel downstream of a heat exchanger can be too cold for fuel system components when the temperature of engine coolant employed as a working fluid in the heat exchanger is too low to elevate gaseous fuel temperature, and it is possible for the engine coolant to freeze. A method of operating a cryogenic pump for controlling discharge temperature of a heat exchanger that vaporizes a process fluid received from the cryogenic pump with heat from a working fluid, where the cryogenic pump includes a piston reciprocatable in a cylinder between a proximate cylinder head and a distal cylinder head, includes monitoring at least one of process fluid temperature and working fluid temperature; retracting the piston during an intake stroke from the proximate cylinder head to the distal cylinder head; and extending the piston in a plurality of incremental discharge strokes until the piston travels from the distal cylinder head back to the proximate cylinder head. At least one of the number of incremental discharge strokes, a length of incremental discharge strokes and a rest period between incremental discharge strokes is selected such that at least one of the process fluid temperature and working fluid temperature is maintained above a predetermined level.

摘要： The invention refers to a drive system including an engine having a pressurizable fuel rail in fluid communication with the pressurizable fuel rail and at least one fuel injector for direct injection into at least one combustion chamber of a respective cylinder, a fuel tank, a fuel pump for conveying liquid fuel from the fuel tank for liquid fuel through a conduit to an evaporation device for transferring the fuel from a liquid to a gaseous state, a conduit for conveying the evaporated fuel to the fuel rail, an electromagnetic manometer for measuring the pressure in the fuel rail and for providing a control signal to the fuel pump, and an emergency valve functionally connected to the fuel rail to control an upper pressure limit in the fuel rail wherein the evaporation device comprises a heating chamber having a heating source and the at least one fuel injector is designed to inject fuel in the gaseous state directly into the combustion chamber of the respective cylinder. The invention also refers to a corresponding vehicle and the use of a kit in such a drive system.

摘要： An integrated cryogenic fluid delivery system includes a cryogenic liquid tank having an interior, a wall and a geometry. The interior of the cryogenic liquid tank contains a supply of cryogenic liquid. A fuel pickup line is positioned within the interior of the tank and is in fluid communication with a vaporizer so that the vaporizer receives and vaporizes cryogenic liquid from the tank. The vaporizer is positioned outside of the tank and is secured to the wall. The vaporizer also has a shape that conforms with the geometry of the tank.

A catalytic conversion of converting liquid fuel to gaseous fuel occurs within the catalytic chamber. Fuel exits the fuel reforming device through a gaseous fluid exit port.
