摘要： A method for determining a weed percentage in a viewing section (10) of a field (20) is described. Actual spectral information is acquired by means of at least one optical viewing section sensor (12a, b) which is directed to the viewing section (10). Furthermore, reference spectral information is acquired by means of an optical reference sensor (32), which is directed to a reference section (30) of the same soil surface (22). A difference between the actual spectral information and the reference spectral information is determined. Finally, the difference is applied to the weed percentage by means of a predefined image. Furthermore, an agricultural control device (100) is described which is suitable for the implementation of the method.

摘要： A system for dispensing agricultural products includes: a master controller, sets of agricultural product containers, meter devices, and secondary controllers. The meter devices are operatively connected to the product containers and configured to dispense products from the containers to rows in a field wherein each of the sets of containers is associated with a respective row in the field. The secondary controllers actuate the meter devices. Each secondary controller receives command data from the master controller and controls the meter devices for dispensing in response to the command data. Agricultural product from each product container is dispensed in accordance with operator defined instructions to the master controller. The instructions are capable of being provided to the master controller during the planting allowing the dispensing of individual containers to be controlled. In one embodiment the invention is a process for dispensing agricultural products at low application rates utilizing precision placement equipment.

摘要： A closed granular chemical handling system has a dispensing valve (30) and a receiving valve (24). The dispensing valve (30) and the receiving valve (24) are automatically opened when the valves are coupled together, and are automatically closed when they are uncoupled from one another. The valves (30, 24) are configured so that the receiving valve (24) always is the first to open and the last to close. They are driven together by a camming structure (54, 58) having a neutral portion (82) that acts as a delay between the opening and closing of both valves (30, 24) so as to allow granular material to flow from between the valves (30, 24) through the receiving valve (24).
