摘要： A termination tool for terminating multiple wires to a two part electrical connector assembly composed of a wire arrangement manifold and a jack housing. The termination tool comprising a main tool body having a termination housing provided thereon including a first cavity, a second cavity and a passage extending between the first and second cavities. The first cavity having an open side to receive and being shaped to removably retain the wire arrangement manifold, the second cavity having an open side to receive and being shaped to removably retain the jack housing, and the passage being sized to allow, in use, the wire arrangement manifold to pass therethrough from the first cavity to the second cavity and having cutting means provided on opposing sides of its end proximate to the first cavity. The termination tool further comprising a ram aligned with the passage and actuatable to move between a retracted position in which the ram is withdrawn from the first cavity and a second position in which the ram extends through the passage so as, in use, to press the wire arrangement manifold from the first cavity, through the passage and into engagement with the jack housing located in the second cavity, the cutting means severing any overhanging wire tails from the sides of the wire arrangement manifold as it enters the passage.

摘要： A hand-held impact tool for effecting terminations in a telecommunications terminal block uses a blade with a setting edge and a pivotable cutter for cutting a conductor wire. Several impact settings for varying the seating impact force at the blade are settable by moving a pouch relative to the handle in one direction. Movement of the pouch in another direction will allow release of a blade stored inside the pouch or insertion of a blade into an empty pouch. A switch on the handle allows the cutter to be actuated by compression and release of the tool or to be disengaged so that only an impact seating function occurs.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for stripping an insulation sheath from an end portion of a cable. The device comprises two manually graspable handles (10, 11) which are capable of relative movement towards and away from one another, a pair of jaws (14,17) which move towards one another during a first, rotary, part of relative movement of the handles towards each other to grip a cable (C) placed in use between said jaws and a pair of cutter blades (24) disposed adjacent to the jaws and which move towards one another during said first, rotary, part of the handle movement thereby to cut through an outer insulating sheath of said cable, the cutter blades (24) during a second, rectilinear, part of said relative movement of the handles (10, 11), moving away from the jaws (14, 17) to strip the outer sheath from the cable. it has been found particularly advantageous that the second part of the movement is approximately parallel in direction to the longitudinal center line of the cutter blades.

摘要： A tool (32) for making interconnections between electrical wires and a conductive terminal having wire receiving slots therein in a point-to-point wiring system includes and indexing member (44) for locating and registering wires relative to the slots and a pushing element (56) for engaging such wires and entering the slots to fully insert the wires therein. The indexing member (44), inclusive of a slotted sleeve axially movable, but rotatively fixed, relative to the pushing element (56), holds wires for ready alignment with the slots. The pushing element (56) defines a plurality of curved splines (58) at the tip thereof for progressively driving the aligned wires deeper into the centre of the terminals than at the peripheries thereof.
