    • The present invention addresses the problem of providing a motor rotor production method which increases the precision with which a shaft and a core comprising laminated steel sheets are assembled, and which enables high-performance motor rotors to be produced at low cost. One embodiment of the present invention involves a motor rotor production method, wherein a plurality of thin steel sheets having through holes are laminated, and with the laminated steel sheets restrained in the thickness direction as a rotor core using a pair of jigs inserted from both sides in the thickness direction of the laminated steel sheets, the laminated steel sheets, having an insertion hole formed by aligning each through-hole of the plurality of thin steel sheets, are fixed by inserting the steel shaft through the insertion hole and then shrink fitting the shaft to the laminated steel sheets. The pair of jigs comprises: a shaft insertion hole through which a shaft can be inserted; a radial inside periphery section that sandwiches the periphery of the insertion hole of the laminated steel sheets at a position where the shaft insertion hole is surrounded on the radial inside relative to the radial direction of the shaft insertion hole; and a radial outside periphery section that sandwiches the outer periphery of the laminated steel sheets at the radial outside from the radial inside periphery section. There is a difference in height between the radial inside periphery section and the radial outside periphery section in the jig height direction.

    • A motor rotor and a method for manufacturing a motor rotor, enabling the resolver rotor to be subjected to crimping which is a low cost operation and is less likely to affect the detection accuracy. A motor rotor (MR) is provided with a resolver rotor (RR) and with a rotor shaft (SH) to which the resolver rotor (RR) is affixed by crimping. The rotor shaft (SH) is provided with a first stepped section (SST) with which a crimping punch (JP) makes contact to deform the first stepped section (SST), a second stepped section (SHD) with which an end surface of the resolver rotor (RR) makes contact, and a cutout groove (SB1) formed in a surface which is located near the first stepped section (SST) and with which an inner peripheral hole section of the resolver rotor (RR) makes contact. In the crimping operation, the first stepped section (SST) of the rotor shaft (SH) is bent within the cutout groove (SB1) to form a crimping protrusion (SSD) which presses the end surface of the resolver rotor (RR).
