摘要： A drawer operating system (9) for controlling one or more drawers (39-45) having a sliding direction, the drawer defined in part by a front end (121) and a rear end (123) and partitioned by walls (131) into a plurality of consecutive bins (133), along the sliding direction, for holding various dispensable items, the drawer housed in a cabinet (5) and arranged to move between a closed position and graduated, progressively open positions to allow access to one or more bins and the dispensable items. The system includes a linear encoder (159) for monitoring the position and direction of movement of the drawer, for logging the length of opening the drawer on its preceding excursion and for producing a plurality of electronic signals specific to the position and movement of the drawer, a drawer stop device (177) arranged between the drawer and the cabinet, a controller (191) for receipt of the electronic signals and an electric solenoid (201). The solenoid having a spring-loaded plunger (205) for activation by the controller after the beginning of the drawer-opening sequence and while the drawer is moving along the drawer stop device to drive a trigger (181) into contact with the drawer stop device to prevent the drawer from being manually opened beyond a certain distance out from the cabinet and exposing dispensable items in one or more bins.

摘要： A variable doorstop (20) selectively determines the opening distance of an access door (30) of a merchandising machine, the access door being mounted in channels of the merchandising machine to be slidable between an open position wherein the access door (30) permits access to a compartment aligned therewith and a closed position wherein access to the compartment is restricted. The doorstop (20) comprises a hinge assembly including at least one hinge (22). Each hinge (22) has a backing plate (24) for mounting the hinge on the merchandising machine and at least one abutment plate. The at least one abutment plate (26) is rotatable about a pin (28) of the hinge (22) to selectively pivot the abutment plate (26) from a non-engagement position in which the abutment plate (26) is positioned away from the path of the access door to an engagement position in which the abutment plate is in the path of the access door (30). The abutment plate in the engagement position establishes the open position by restricting the access door (30) from sliding further along the channels past the abutment plate (26) in the engagement position as the access door (30) is slid from the closed position to the open position.

La présente invention décrit un dispensateur de pilules adapté pour être utilisé par des infirmes physiques ou mentaux. Une pluralité de conteneurs (38, 88) sont disposés dans une matrice, chacun étant destiné à recevoir, à stocker et à libérer sélectivement une ou plusieurs pilules. Les colonnes de ladite matrice correspondent aux jours de la semaine, tandis que les rangées de la matrice correspondent aux heures de la journée. Les conteneurs sont logés dans une boîte (12, 76) qui peut être placée sur le dos (26, 80) de manière à charger les conteneurs de pilules, et montée verticalement de manière à dispenser les pilules.
