摘要： A collapsible structure (1) useful as a photographic soft-box has a generally pyramidal expanded configuration and a generally planar collapsed configuration. The structure (1) has a generally planar face, the corners of which are connected by struts (4) to a central boss (2) positioned at the apex of the structure (1) when the structure (1) is in the expanded configuration. The struts (4) are resilient and flexible and of sufficient length to tension the planar face when the structure (1) is in the expanded configuration. The structure (1) can be collapsed by twisting and depressing the boss (2) with respect to the planar face, and expanded simply by grasping the boss (2) and exerting a sharp backwards movement, eg with a simple shaking action.

摘要： A photographic lighting dome (10) for holding and directing a light source having a housing (11) of flexible material, the housing (11) having an inner perimeter (12) surronding a central opening (13), and an outer perimeter (14). There are a plurality of flexible support rods (20), each support rod (20) having a connecting end (24) and a releasable end (26). A central hub (18) having a plurality of support rod attachment fixtures (42) is positioned in the central opening (13) of the housing (11), where each fixture (42) is configured for receiving the connecting end (24) of one of the plurality of support rods (20). Each channel (22) further has a central channel opening (32), the connecting end (24) of a support rod (20) passing therethrough for attachement to the central hub (18), and an outer perimeter opening (34), through which the releasable end (26) of the support rod (20) may pass. A plurality of retaining means (36) are positioned proximate to the housing outer perimeter (14) for releasably capturing and maintaining axial force in each of said support rods (20) in each of the channels (22) to urge the housing (11) into a dome shape. 摘要： A play set (10) for children that allows a child to take correctly framed, focused and illuminated photographs of dolls, action figures or the like, in a life-like play setting. A camera support frame (20) receives a removable, standard camera (12) and aims its lens, through a close-up diopter lens (22) attached to the frame, at the play setting in proper focus. The play setting includes a wall support for a changeable backdrop and a stage for positioning the dolls or figures in front of the chosen backdrop. The frame for the camera (12) is spaced a fixed distance from the wall and stage to set a depth of field to encompass the backdrop and the dolls and figures in the stage area (18). Illumination of the stage area (18) including the dolls and figures and the backdrop is provided in several alternative ways. Glare off the backdrop and figures resulting if the camera's simple flash unit (58) is used to directly illuminate the play setting is reduced by configuring the camera supporting frame (20) to tilt the camera relative to the backdrop. In another embodiment, reflective baffles (60) supported by the frame re-direct the light onto the play setting at an improved angle relative to the lens taking axis. In a preferred embodiment, the camera's flash is blocked by a frame supported baffle (60), and a sensor supported by the frame is operative on its firing to trigger a more optimally positioned remote flash unit to fire. The camera is removable and usable by the child in the normal fashion.
