摘要： A patterned pile fabric with uncut and severed pile loops is manufactured on a circular knitting machine in which pile elements (1) are arranged in a cylinder (C) provided with an upper and a lower pile forming ledge divided by a holding hook. For the knitting and pile forming action the pile elements (1) are individually selected and actuated at least to two different positions in which one of the alternative pile forming ledges is arranged between the needles (N). Pile loops drawn out over the upper pile forming ledges are cleared from the pile elements in the subsequent feeder by an additional clearing movement while pile loops formed over the lower pile ledge will remain on the pile elements. Those pile loops will slide downwardly along the stems of the pile elements by the subsequent knitting. In a continuation of the lower pile forming ledge the stems of the pile elements are provided with a cutting edge (1C) that will cooperate with a cutting edge (2C) of cutting elements (2) so that all pile loops coming to this continuation section are severed by a cutting movement of the cutting elements.

摘要： For the purpose of enabling knitting of such clothes as body suit, brassiere, petticoat, and underpants at a squeezed part as waist or a local belly part (C) as breast continuously and throughout, a stitch cam (36) and cushion cam (37) of the stitch adjusting unit (35) of the circular knitting machine are moved up and down relatively to a second guard cam (30) by a signal from a stitch adjustment control unit (E), separately in each knitting zone (I, II, III, ...) or collectively and simultaneously in all the knitting zones through acting rings (38). The stitch cam (36) is moved back and forth together with the other cams in the direction of the radius of the knitting cylinder (2) for knitting various patterns. 摘要： Two or more pile yarns (P1,P2) of different colors selectively form single or multiple wale pile loops in each body or ground yarn (G) course of the fabric. First and second pile yarn loop forming elements, in the form of dial hook elements, are supported in the dial (11) and are selectively moved outwardly to pick up the pile yarns fed thereto at successive yarn feeding stations while the cylinder needles are selectively raised at the successive yarn feeding stations to catch the pile yarn (P1,P2) as the dial hook (H) elements are withdrawn inwardly into the dial (11). The selective outward and inward movement of the first and second dial hook elements (H,H') makes it possible to send one dial hook element outwardly and bring back a pile yarn to be engaged in the hooks of both the first and second dial hook elements. Ground or body yarn (G) is fed to the needles and the needles form stitch loops to form a course of fabric with the pile loops of the first and second pile yarns incorporated in the stitch loops of the ground yarn. The pile loops are adapted to be cut in a shearing operation to form the patterned velour jacquard fabric.

Each sinker is obliquely movable from an advanced, lower position to a receded, upper position. A pile position control ledge (8f) extends horizontally with respect to the incline of the sinker (8). The distance between the sinker nose (8d) and sinker pile position control ledge (8f) is more extended than in a conventional sinker, and as a result, the sinker nose (8d) can be positioned lower than that in a conventional sinker so as to form low piles.
