    • In the host computer (1, 4) of a multiple photocopier management system, a maintenance supervising system is provided for supervising maintenance job contents on routinely serviced photocopier components. Stored in the host computer RAM (5) are maintenance tables (20) for retaining in routine maintenance sequences job items for periodic maintenance on the photocopier components. After completing routine maintenance on a photocopier (2), a service engineer inputs maintenance reporting data which is accepted in job store areas (17) of the RAM (5). The maintenance reporting data categorizes a maintenance job, in particular as to whether a component has been repaired, and indicates actual job content, component-by-component. The routine maintenance sequences each constitute an order of ranking numbers each assigned to a job item, and the rank order in the sequence is updated according to the ranking number corresponding to the content of the reported job. Based on the maintenance reporting data accepted by the RAM (5), and on the updated job rank orders in the routine maintenance sequences, the host computer (1, 4) sets jobitems component-by-component for the next-scheduled routine maintenance from the job items stored in the maintenance tables (20). The job items for the work due component-by-component in the next scheduled routine maintenance are accordingly displayed.

The invention further includes limiting means (9), disposed adjacent to and upstream of the brush-thickness control member with reference to the rotating direction of the developing sleeve, for limiting the advance of the tip (701a) of an erected developer brush (701) by pushing the tip toward the upstream side. Furthermore, there is provided, substantially below the limiting means, a guide end portion (10c) for receiving the whole or part of the developer limited by the limiting means and separated from the erected developer brush and for guiding the received developer in a direction moving away from the developing sleeve.

    • A toner cartridge is provided having a main body with a toner dropping opening (10a). The toner cartridge is suitable for insertion into and extraction from a storing recess (500) of an image forming apparatus main body. The toner cartridge comprises an inner seal member (30) for closing the toner dropping opening (10a), which is peelably attached to the lower surface of the toner cartridge main body (1). Take-up means (50) are adapted to open the toner dropping opening (10a) by taking up while peeling the inner seal member (30). An outer seal member (40) also closes the toner dropping opening (10a) beneath the inner seal member (30). The outer seal member (40) is slidable along the lower surface of the toner cartridge main body (1). An outer seal member operating means (60) is adapted to engage with engaging means (80) located on the image forming apparatus main body. When the toner cartridge is drawn out from the storage recess (500), the outer seal member (40) is automatically closed by engagement of the operating means (60) with the engaging member (80).
