    • A motorized pulley or roller (10) comprises a stationary roller shaft (14), a generally cylindrical drum (12) mounted for rotation about the roller shaft, and an electric drive assembly disposed inside the cylindrical drum for rotating the drum about the roller shaft. The motorized pulley includes an integral electrical connector (100) for connecting the roller to a power supply. The integral electrical connector includes a male connector (102) disposed in a recess formed in one end of the roller shaft. A female connector (104) which registers with the male connector is wired to the power supply. The male and female connectors allow for easy and quick replacement of the motorized rollers by untrained personnel.

    • A drive pulley assembly (16) is disclosed for a conveyor belt assembly (10) which permits a reduction in the overall size of the conveyor assembly (10) without any reduction in the size or width of the conveyor belt (20). The overall width of the conveyor assembly (10) is reduced by providing recessed end cavities (26, 28) in the ends of the drive pulley (16) to accommodate the mounting brackets (104) for the pulley. In accordance with the present invention, the mounting brackets (104) are secured to the inside of respective frame members (12) and extend therefrom into the recessed end cavities (26, 28) of the drive pulley (16) such that substantially the entirety of the mounting bracket (104) lies within the drive pulley (16). Because the mounting brackets (104) are contained substantially within the confines of the drive pulley (16), the drive pulley assembly (16) of the present invention requires less space than conventional conveyor assemblies in which the mounts are disposed beyond the ends of the drive pulley (16).

    • Um bei einem Riemenantrieb für eine Förderrollenbahn, unabhängig von Herstellungstoleranzen, die feste Anlage des Antriebsriemens an den Förderrollen zu gewährleisten, weist jede Andruckrolle einen zylindrischen Grundkörper sowie zumindest eine sich daran anschließende, sich ringförmig um den Umfang des zylindrischen Grundkörpers erstreckende und schräg zur Achse der Andruckrolle hin verlaufende Riemenandruckscheibe auf, wobei in Richtung der Förderrollenbahn gesehen, die Riemenandruckscheibe bei den aufeinanderfolgenden Andruckrollen abwechselnd rechts- und linksseitig an den Andruckrollen angeordnet ist. Durch das Auflaufen des Riemens auf der schräg ausgebildeten Riemenandruckscheibe wird die feste Anlage des Antriebsriemens an den Förderrollen sichergestellt.
