    • The invention relates to a method for laying a pipeline wound from profiled plastic strips using a winding machine, which circulates in a winding basket on a guide track, in an open channel trench, in particular in the form of a wastewater line. The aim of the invention is to provide a simple and inexpensive laying process. This is achieved by arranging a laying vehicle (10) on an opened trench section (4) of the laying trench (1), wherein profiled plastic strips (18) are removed from a storage drum (17), which is provided on the laying vehicle (10) or in the vicinity of the vehicle and which comprises a supply of profiled plastic strips, and fed to the pipe-producing device (6). The pipe-producing device (6) is held on a holding arm (12) in an oscillating manner and is lowered to almost the bottom (4.1) of the trench in the region of the opened trench section (4) of the laying trench (1). In the pipe-producing device (6), the profiled plastic strips (18) are joined to the last winding (5.1) of the already finished wound pipe (5), thereby latching the adjacent edge regions of the fed profiled plastic strip (18) and the profiled plastic strip (18) of the last finished winding (5.1), by means of a circulating winding basket (30) in a known manner. The pipe-producing device (6) in the winding basket (30) is supplied with energy by the drive of the laying vehicle (10), said energy being supplied via a supply line (14). The laying vehicle (10) follows the progress of the manufacture of the wound pipe (5), said pipe-producing device (6) following the elongation of the wound pipe (5) by means of the oscillating suspension on the holding arm (12). After the wound pipe (5) has been laid, the opened trench section (4.1) is refilled with soil (2.2).
