    • In the moulding of composite plastic material, in particular of foamed polystyrene coupled with rigid polystyrene sheet, the rigid material (2) is preformed, with the preformed portion being simultaneously separated from the starting material, and the preformed shaped portion is transferred to the preforming half-mould at the moulding step, in which the formed material is moulded by means of sintering and pulsed steam action on the preformed rigid material. The resulting piece is brought back to the preforming step (1) and a further portion of rigid material (2) is preformed on the foamed material, and this portion is then thermoset inside the moulding mould (3) on the foamed material, thus generating an article with two opposite surfaces made of a rigid material, between which the foamed material is sandwiched.

    • This invention relates to a mold for the covering and trimming of plastics products, particularly of panels for the inside upholtery of motor vehicles. The object of the invention is to avoid that the covering material (4), spread over a heated sheet of plastics material intended to constitute the product (3) to be covered, may be pinched between two side knives (8) associated with two substantial­ly rectilinear sides of the outline of the product (3) and converging to each other toward a preferably rounded corner of said product (3). To achieve this object, at the angle between the two side knives (8) associated with the con­verging substantially rectilinear sides, ther is arranged a knife (8') which is shaped correspondingly to said corner, and the ends of which slidably engage the outer planar surfaces of tapered end extensions (108) of the side knives (8). Means (9, 9', 10, 10') are provided for displacing simultaneously the side knives (8) and interposed shaped knife (8'). The sliding surfaces between the extensions (108) of the side knives (8) and interposed shaped knife (8') are at such an angle to the directions of movement of either the two side knives (8) and the interposed shaped knife (8') as to always remain in contact with each other during the movement of said knives.

    • Bei dem Herstellverfahren wird Platten- oder Bandmaterial (19) aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff in einer im wesentlichen zweiteiligen Streckform (1) durch Einblasen von Heißluft zu einerAbdeckwanne mit Stehrand umgeformt und der allseitig überstehende Randstreifen bereits beim Schließen ihrer Formhälften (3, 4) abgetrennt.
      Eine erste Formhälfte (3) ist hierfür mit einer Schnittplatte (7) ausgerüstet, welche an einer Grundplatte (5) befestigt ist. Die Schnittplatte (7) weist eine dem Umriß des zu formenden Stehrandes entsprechende äußere Begrenzung auf, wobei ihre freie Außenkante eine Schneidkante (9) bildet. Die Schneidkante (26) der zweiten Formhälfte (4) besteht aus einer dem Umriß des Stehrandes entsprechenden Innenkante der eingefahrenen Schieber (15) des Formennestes (14). Das Dickenmaß der Schieber (15) übersteigt die Höhe des zu formenden Stehrandes und um dieses Maß sind die Schieber (15) mit ihren Schneidkanten (26) an der komplementären Schneidkante (9) vorbei über die Schnittplatte (7) absenkbar.
      Die Schnittplatte (7) trägt zudem eine Klemmplatte (12), deren Außenseite um das Dickenmaß des zu formenden Stehrandes der Abdeckwanne nach innen hinter die Schneidkante (9) der Schnittplatte (7) zurückgesetzt ist.
