摘要： A method of issuing passwords is described where each password is associated with a specified unique entity. For example, an entity may be a site or switch in a communications network and the passwords may be required to enable a software patch to be installed on that switch. A database of details of each entity is stored and a manager is able to modify this database to indicate whether a password may be issued for a particular software patch and switch. A web interface is provided via which requests for passwords are made and an email engine provides email responses to the requests. Details of the requests are stored in the database and a manager is able to obtain information from the database using the web interface. This information enables the manager to control and monitor passwords that are issued and to detect misuse of the system or potential unauthorised password access.

Die entsprechenden Verwaltungsaufträgen werden bei einer ISDN-orientierten Leitungsschnittstelle als D-Kanal-Protokoll vermittelt. Eine andere Möglichkeit besteht darin, diese kompletten Verwaltungsaufträge in Mehrfrequenzcode-Zeichen umzusetzen und über das Leistungsnetz an das Zielkommunikationssystem (KS-B) zu übermitteln. Die Benutzungsoberfläche des Ursprungskommunikationssystems versorgt das Display (DL) des entsprechenden Fernsprechendgerätes (FE1) des Ursprungskommunikationssystems. 摘要： It is a problem with telecommunication equipment, such as a telephone exchange, that the counters produce so much information that the processes, such as statistic, traffic management and charging, do not have the time to process them. The system according to the invention includes two main blocks: the first main block is formed by one or more report request service blocks (21) and the second main block (22) is formed by one or more counter service blocks, each of which monitors one or more counters (c1,...,cn). The report request service block relays a start-up message (23) to those counter service blocks (e.g. 24) from which it needs counter information. The conditions on which the counter information is desired are stated in the message. The condition may be exceeding/falling short of a given threshold value or the condition may be a timetable, e.g. a time slot, in accordance with which the counter value is to be stated. When the given condition is fulfilled, the requested counter service blocks will read the counter values, locate them in a brief message, each value in its own message, and send the message to the report request service block (21).

摘要： This invention uses a computer program to mine preexisting dialing plan data located in a variety of preexisting source dialing plan databases. The computer program either creates a new dialing plan database from parts of existing dialing plan databases or modifies an existing dialing plan database. The computer program replaces the current system's reliance upon manual data entry by data engineers to configure the operation of a new telecommunication switch or replace the software in a telecommunication switch that was damaged or requires a new dialing plan data configuration. This invention provides accurate and timely customer information, significantly decreases the time interval for engineering a new dialing plan database, decreases the research and data entry time, decreases the interval for lab planning and project management, improves dialing plan database integrity, provides a cleaner dialing plan database, reuses existing dialing plan data eliminating double data entry, reuses some existing software code, and uses preexisting office data administration tools and provides a platform for future growth and expandability. By accomplishing these tasks, the telecommunication switch manufacturer or telecommunication switch operator saves time, money and decreases time-to-market product and service schedules.
