After burning of the tracer (5, 15, 25) or the delay charge inside the delay element (6, 16, 26), the initiation of the charge (7, 17, 27) takes place which then acts on the projectile (1, 11, 21) in such a way that after a set flying time (t) is reached, the trajectory of the projectile (1, 11, 21) is influenced.
