    • The present invention provides a method for regulating the phenol concentration in the circulating gas at 50 ppm by volume or less, upon producing bisphenol A prill from a bisphenol A melt using a prilling plant equipped with a prilling tower spraying and contacting the bisphenol A melt to a circulating gas, a powder remover removing bisphenol A powder from the circulating gas, a circulating gas cooler regulating the temperature of the circulating gas, and a blower making the circulating gas flow. The method avoids lowering in heat transfer performance caused by deposits formed in a heat-exchanger, increasing in pressure difference caused by deposits formed in the prilling tower or the heat-exchanger, and others in the prilling step. As a result, high-grade bisphenol A prill can be produced stably, continuously and efficiently over a long time.

    • A process for bisphenol A production in which when bisphenol A is taken out of a reaction mixture, a high-purity adduct of bisphenol A with phenol is rapidly and efficiently recovered from the mother liquor resulting from the reaction. The process for producing bisphenol A comprises crystallizing a bisphenol A/phenol adduct from a bisphenol A phenol solution obtained by reacting phenol with acetone in the presence of an acid catalyst, subjecting the resultant slurry to solid-liquid separation, and then removing the phenol from the solid ingredient, wherein the phenol slurry solution of bisphenol A which contains the bisphenol A/phenol adduct in the form of crystals having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 1 mm is poured on a filter and filtered under vacuum in an inert gas stream having an oxygen content of 5,000 ppm by volume or lower at 30 to 80°C to form a layer of the bisphenol A/phenol adduct in the form of crystals.
