摘要： A postcard (2) includes a generally planar body having a front face and a rear face together defining an interior adapted to receive and hold a photographic print (100). A windowpane (60) can be disposed between the front and rear faces to protect the photograph from the environment. The rear face has a greeting area, an address area, a postage area, and a stand extendible from the greeting area (38) and operable to permit the postcard to be stood on its side without obstructing the greeting area. The front face has a removable part (37) for keeping the photograph hidden from view until a user removes the part. The removable part is connected to the front body (34) in a breakable connection and, when removed, can form an advertisement, a coupon, and/or a single-sheet postcard. A perfume sample holding device can be connected to any part of the postcard.

摘要： Disclosed are a method and an apparatus designed to make a window envelope rapidly using a water-soluble clarifying agent without causing an inconvenience in its window area. Upstream of an envelope making stage wherein a continuous paper while traveling along a continuous path of travel is successively folded, pasted and cut to form an envelope, a water-soluble clarifying agent is applied to an area on the continuous paper that is designed to become the transparent window in the envelope and the continuous paper carrying the clarifying agent is wound on a plurality of drying cylinders so that its surface carrying the clarifying agent faces outwards to dry the clarifying agent while holding the surface of paper carrying the clarifying agent out of contact with the drying cylinders.

The mailer constructed according to the invention is also thin. The intermediate has three panels (19, 20, 21) which are eccentrically C-folded with the outgoing address (23) visible through a cutout (33) (with transparent patch) in an outer panel (20). The return envelope is constructed by the recipient by removing release liner strips (46, 47) from pressure sensitive adhesive strips (44, 45) inside the mailer, forming the sides of the return envelope. The recipient of the return envelope can easily tell who the return envelope is from since the outgoing address (23) is provided on the inner portion of the flap (59) of the return envelope.
