摘要： A surveillance system improves accuracy and robustness of abnormal behavior detection of a monitored object traversing a space includes a metadata processing module, a model building module, and a behavior assessment module. The metadata processing module generates trajectory information for a monitor object and determines attributes of the monitored object. The model building module at least one of generates and updates normal motion models based on at least one of the trajectory information, the attributes, and an abnormal behavior score. The behavior assessment module generates the abnormal behavior score based on one of a plurality of methods. A first one of the plurality of methods defines wrong direction behavior. A second one of the plurality of methods defines wandering/loitering behavior. A third one of the plurality of methods defines speeding behavior.

摘要： A method and system detects an intrusion into a protected area. Image data is captured and processed to create a reduced image dataset having a lower dimensionality than the captured image data. The reduced image dataset is transmitted to a centralized alarm processing device where the reduced image dataset is evaluated to determine an alarm condition. Processing at the sensor comprises separating background and foreground information, recognizing foreground objects and extracting their salient features. Determination of an alarm condition comprises recognizing behavioural patterns and applying specific rules according to the case.

A processor connected with the camera (10) derives a silhouette of an object that triggered the motion from the obtained image(s). The silhouettes are compared to previously obtained silhouettes of various animals and humans having different sizes. A classification of the silhouette is obtained and depending on what object the silhouette is determined to correspond to, i.e., its identification, further action or countermeasures is taken. Control of the security system may be via a handheld telecommunications device (42).

An illustrative method of event-packaging a video sequence may include the steps of acquiring a video stream containing an event of interest, extracting various event information from the video stream and storing one or more event parameters within an event database, extracting a video clip from the video stream containing the event of interest, associating metadata representing the event parameters to the video clip, and exporting the video clip containing the event of interest and associated metadata to an external agent. In certain embodiments, a video image-processing appliance manager and/or one or more appliance modules can be provided to automatically extract event information from the acquired video stream, and to manage the indexing and storage of event parameters within the event database. A graphical user interface may also be provided to permit the event information extracted from the video stream to be compared against a set of user-specified event parameters.
