摘要： The aqueous alkaline cleaning agent proposed contains, as its hydroxide constituent, only potassium hydroxide or a mixture of potassium hydroxide and another alkali, the potassium hydroxide content being at least 20 % by wt., calculated as hydroxide, relative to the total amount of hydroxide present in the agent. The agent proposed enables cleaning to be carried out much more economically than with prior art agents. The method according to the invention includes regeneration of the cleaning agent by means of membrane filtration.

摘要： A thickened aqueous cleaning composition is viscoelastic, and has utility as a drain opening composition or as a hard surface cleaner having a cleaning-effective residence time on non-horizontal surfaces. In one embodiment the composition comprises a cleaning active, a quaternary ammonium compound, and an organic counterion. In another embodiment, the viscoelastic quality of the composition is advantageously utilized as a drain opener which rapidly penetrates standing water with minimal dilution to deliver active to the clog material. In these embodiments and corresponding methods of use, a free amine is limited with respect to the amount of the quaternary ammonium compound in the composition in order to maintain phase stability and to achieve further enhanced rheological and aesthetic properties in the composition.

This detergent composition has excellent cleaning performance and excellent biodegradability.

摘要： Detergent compositions are formed into tablets for dispensing. These tablets can be retained in a flexible plastic bag having a rigid opening and tapered midsection. The rigidity of the tablets enables the bag to retain its shape and prevent hydratable detergents from clogging up the dispenser. A preferred detergent formulation is a high-caustic detergent composition which includes a combination of sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium tripolyphosphate hexahydrate, defoaming surfactant, polycarboxylate and a processing and dissolution aid such as propylene glycol. This detergent composition, when tableted, provides an extremely uniform dissolution rate minimizing any temperature peaks that can occur in dispensing high-caustic detergent.

摘要： A solid cake-like detergent comprising an alkali metal hydoxide, a hardness sequestering agent, and other optional ingredients is disclosed. A mixture of above ingredients is placed in hopper (18) with the valve (34) in its closed position. A container (52) is moved under throat (20) and the support plate is closed to move the container to an upper position and actuate a start switch which vibrates the hopper and the container. Simultaneously, water is sprayed into throat (20) from nozzle (24) and the hopper valve is withdrawn from the throat. The mixture flows downwardly as an annular curtain. The moistened detergent mixture falls into container (52) and is allowed to solidify and form the final cake-like product.
