In an exemplary embodiment, the lens is moveable from a first, lowered position to a second, raised position, and when in the first, lowered position, the seal sealingly engages the head-covering article. In some embodiments, the tensile modulus of the first polymeric material is at least about 5× greater or even about 10× greater than the tensile modulus of the second material.

The lens includes a substrate and a hard-coat layer located on the substrate of the lens. The hard-coat layer has a low surface energy outer surface that is derived from a) an additive that includes at least one of i) a perfluoropolyether urethane that includes hydrolysable silane groups, and ii) an acrylate polymer that includes at least one perfluoropolyether moiety and at least one hydrolysable silane group, and b) a silsesquioxane-based hard-coat composition. The provision of such a lens on a personal safety protective device enables the lens to be durable to abrasion and to be easily cleaned without use of solvents that could shorten the service life of the lens.

摘要： The invention concerns a respirator whereof the lenses (5) can be covered with a light-absorbing shield (5). On the opposite sides of a lens are formed first (7) and second (8) snap-fit hooks, as well as a stop ridge (6), in a corner zone (3), which constitutes a guiding cavity (4). The outer periphery and the curvature of the lens and of the shield are identical. The shield (5), which is elastic in flexion, is mounted by being first fixed into the guiding cavity (4) and to the first snap-fit hook (7). Then, it is locked on the opposite side of the shield, after being subjected to an elastic flexion, beneath the second snap-fit hook (8). The shield system has a simple design and is inexpensive while having a reduced height. The system is easily mounted.
